Borderline Personality Disorders (BPD)

This personality disorder is reserved for individuals who experienced a persistent pattern of emotional and interpersonal instability; as well as an unstable sense of self. Individuals with this disorder are highly impulsive and many often engage in non-suicidal self-injurious behaviors (i.e. cutting). An individual with BPD experiences extreme emotional dysregulation decreases his/her/their capacity to function effectively across contexts (i.e. school, work, interpersonal situations).
